Because there is often
a wide range of quality and cost of many of the key F&E
products proposed for a scheme, it is essential to produce
Product Data Sheets for these items. By this means, the
client can understand why specific key products have
been chosen over others. It allows a direct comparison
with alternative proposals.
Issues relating to the whole life
cost such as design and durability of the product are
made apparent. There are also other important considerations
to spell out. For example, the ergonomic benefits of
furniture. The image of that key product is also useful
in identifying the proposed item.

The Product Data Sheets
also explain the standard options and accessories available.
The example below of a two-pupil table indicates the
range of height options, colours and finishes of both
metalwork and work surface. Competing products can sometimes
be more limited.
The client’s description and reference
are shown for ease of identification. Reference to areas
of intended location is also shown along with Room Data
Sheet references. |
