Our Standard Workbenches
We manufacture a variety of standard workbenches with either a solid beech or phenolic finish. The fully welded and powder coated steel frames provide excellent lifecycle within any Design and Technology workshop. We supply direct to schools and the price can include installation (if required). A free room planning service is available on request for those awkward workshop spaces. If you are looking for something a little different and you don’t see what you need here, our bespoke service could be for you.

For 4 Students
The Craftwork 2000 woodworking bench offers a strong combination of a traditional beech top and fully welded steel frame. The work surface is constructed from 40mm thick solid beech, with a 30mm deep solid beech downstand and has a centralised reversible tool well. Normally supplied with 7″ quick release woodwork vices with beech jaws. Other vice configurations are available on request.
The fully welded steel framework has a robust 76mm diameter leg profile which can be supplied in a variety of powder coat colours. The craftwork range is also available as a height adjustable bench.

Sometimes standard products aren’t the right solution, or are not able to support the varied requirements they’re intended for. Whether you are after five or six-person bench configurations in rectangular or square formats with engineering vices and/or woodwork vices the chances are we have the solution for you. We realise that not every school, apprentice training provider or further education facility is the same. The people at Nortek could not have been more helpful in advising and then installing equipment for our new engineering workshops at Turner Free school, Folkestone. The design team and I worked together to first establish what the needs of the curriculum were before I was given a range of options per equipment I ordered. This ranged from soldering iron benching, to scroll saw desks, work benches and storage solutions.
After the final quotes were approved, I had a variety of visits from Nortek to ensure everything would fit correctly and then the installation. Training was given after installation on the machines, as well as for the workbenches and storage solutions.
After using them all for the past 18 months, I cannot recommend Nortek enough. Firstly because of the ease it was to work with them on this installation but also the excellent customer care I have received.
