Djanolgy City Academy

Djanogly City Academy is an 11-18 secondary school situated in the very heart of Nottingham. In a building designed by the renowned international architectural practice Foster & Partners the supply of both fitted and loose furniture was key to fulfilling all that the innovative design was to offer. With a main street that stretches through the whole length of the school each classroom space was carefully space planned to maximise teaching efficiency and ease of movement. Nortek supplied all of the fitted and loose furniture in close collaboration with key suppliers. Being a manufacturer of educational furniture meant that Nortek was able to supply bespoke solutions for multiple laptop charging integrated into storage solutions using VS Series 800 cupboard systems in nearly every classroom. Pupil desks of specific shapes and sizes with finishes chosen by the client as well as VS KN-39 upholstered seating provided a level of comfort which helped to keep pupils attentive all day long.

VS Lupo stools were provided in the technical classrooms. These stools with their skid bases and two component glides are very hard wearing and provide many years of service. The innovative skid base prevents the damage to expensive floor finishes which other four leg stools often cause.

Nortek also supplied machinery and appliance solutions to the Design Technology, Food Technology and Art spaces.
